Situated by the picturesque village of Dornie on the main tourist route to the Isle of Skye. The mouth of Loch Long is within walking distance of the castle.

Tossing the Caber

This is the Highland sport of caber toss.
The object is not the distance of the throw, but rather to have the caber fall directly away from the thrower after landing. So it’s more about control than raw power.

Loch Ness

Scotland has a few great Lochs. The water of which are cold and dark.
You see those rocks. Well you can’t see the ones under water.
So don’t dive in head first, like my dumb ass friend, unless you also want a trip to the emergency room.

Thistle

This is Scotland’s national flower. Now, how may you ask, does such a thorny customer become a national flower. Well as the story goes some Viking invaders where sneaking up on a Scottish war camp, looking to kill the Scots in their sleep. They walked into a patch of Thistles and the noise woke the Scots from their sleep, who where able to fight them off.
