We have all been there. You have things to do in London and your not up for dragging your luggage around with you. Gatwich and Heathrow doesn’t provide a storage service. So what do you do?

Leave it at your Hotel

Well your cheapest option will be to leave it with your Hotel or Hostel. I recommend checking whether they have that service first.

Leaving it at a mainline station

The tube stations are too small for this service but the mainline stations all have companies that store luggage. They heavily overcharge though. You can expect to pay £6 per bag per day. They also X-ray your bag, so you can’t store anything dodgy. The 2 stations that get used most for storing luggage is Paddington and Victoria. Paddington is easier to access, but storage at Victoria station is more secure (At Victoria station they put each bag in a locked locker and not just in a room full of bags). At the station you need to look for a sign that says “Left Luggage” or a suitcase symbol.

Cheaper Storage

If you are willing to travel, to store your luggage outside the train system, you can expect to pay half of what the mainline luggage storage charges. There are a number of companies that deliver a budget service, I am only going to recommend one of those. ABC storage they have CCTV and they give you a key for your locker.
